WSIB Workplace First Aid Requirements

Heart2Heart offers Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR training for workplaces, businesses, organizations, and groups across Canada. Our workplace programs are approved by WSIB in Ontario, Alberta OHS in Alberta, and WorkplaceNL in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Group training is available at your workplace or at one of our training locations for groups of 8 or more participants. If you have fewer than 8 participants, you are welcome to attend one of our public courses offered at our many training locations. The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) regulates workplace first aid requirements in Ontario through Regulation 1101, which outlines the minimum first aid training and first aid kit requirements for Ontario workplaces.

Please note that workplace first aid requirements vary by province. The information below reflects common Ontario WSIB requirements.

    Standard First Aid CPR/AED (Intermediate First Aid)

    Standard First Aid CPR/AED, now known as Intermediate First Aid, is our most popular workplace first aid certification. This comprehensive course covers both life-threatening and non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses and is commonly required for workplaces with more than 5 employees per shift.

    Emergency First Aid CPR/AED (Basic First Aid)

    Emergency First Aid CPR/AED, now known as Basic First Aid, focuses on life-threatening emergencies and is commonly required for workplaces with 5 or fewer employees per shift.

    Payment Information

    For workplace and group bookings, an invoice will be issued following course completion. Payment may be made by cheque, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express within 30 days of course delivery.
