How to Get First Aid and CPR Certification Online with Heart2Heart CPR.
Navigating the world of online first aid and CPR certifications can be daunting, but with Heart2Heart CPR, it’s a seamless process. Serving cities like Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Scarborough, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Whitby, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Barrie, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, St. John’s, and Edmonton, we’ve established a solid reputation for comprehensive training. Here’s a step-by-step guide to obtaining your certification through our blended course:
Step 1: Registration
First choose the location you want to do your training. Each location page will list the available courses you can take. Upon selecting your desired course, if you’re looking for a blended option, ensure “blended” appears in the title. Once registered for a Blended Learning course, you’ll swiftly receive an email invitation from the Canadian Red Cross the next business day. This is your gateway to the online component. Additionally, Heart to Heart will send a separate instruction email with further details on accessing this online component. Haven’t received these emails within a working day? Contact us directly. Phone: 416.960.5319 or 1-866-260-2790 (toll free) Email: register@
Note: If your in-class session is more than four weeks away, expect the Red Cross email four weeks prior to that date. This is because the online component is valid only for four weeks before the in-person session.
Step 2: Dive into Online Learning
Online learning offers flexibility, fitting into your schedule. The duration for the online and in-class components, based on your chosen course, are:
- Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C: 7-8 hours online, 7-8 hours in-class
- Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED Level C: 3-4 hours online, 5 hours in-class
- CPR/AED Level C: 2.5-3.5 hours online, 4 hours in-class
For our flagship blended course, the Standard First Aid CPR Level C, you must complete the online module before attending the one-day in-person session. The online platform allows for a flexible learning pace; you can pause and resume where you left off in the My Red Cross account.
Step 3: Attend In-Person Training
After wrapping up the online segment, it’s time for in-person training in one of our many locations including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Scarborough, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Whitby, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Barrie, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, St. John’s, and Edmonton. For courses like the Standard First Aid CPR level C, it’s a one-day session, as opposed to the traditional two-day format for non-blended courses.
Step 4: Certification
Once you’ve successfully completed the course, the Canadian Red Cross will quickly issue an electronic certification. This certification, approved and valid for three years, stands as a testament to the skills you’ve honed with Heart2Heart CPR.
